The short answer
ZoopCoder sets up and customises a Shopify store with up to 30 products for a fixed ₹14,999, delivered in 7-10 working days. Shopify's own subscription is separate and billed directly to you: on the India price list the Basic plan is ₹1,994 a month, or ₹1,499 a month if you pay yearly, and Shopify charges no setup fee on any plan. The number most Indian sellers miss is the third one — Shopify Payments does not operate in India and India is not on Shopify's own list of supported countries, so every Indian store has to take payments through a third-party gateway such as Razorpay, PayU or Cashfree, and Shopify adds its own third-party transaction fee on top of whatever that gateway already charges, on every order.

About this service
Shopify is the easiest way to run an online store without managing hosting, updates or security yourself, and for a seller doing modest volume it is usually the right call. The catch is that a blank Shopify store does not sell: it needs a customised theme, organised collections, working payments, shipping rules and the policy pages payment gateways ask for during approval. We handle all of that — you create the Shopify account and pay the plan directly, add us as staff, and we set up the theme, load up to 30 products, connect a gateway that actually works in India, configure COD, shipping and GST, and connect your domain. Before handover we place a real test order so you know checkout works. Read the running cost before you commit, though: the Shopify plan is ₹1,994 a month on Basic, and because Shopify Payments does not operate in India you also pay Shopify a transaction fee on every order taken through Razorpay, PayU or Cashfree, on top of the gateway's own charge and the 18% GST charged on that charge. How much does it cost to set up a Shopify store in India?
ZoopCoder charges a fixed ₹14,999 one-time for the setup, delivered in 7-10 working days. On top of that you pay Shopify directly: ₹1,994 a month on the Basic plan, or ₹1,499 a month if you pay for a year up front. There is no Shopify setup fee on any plan.
Is Shopify free in India?
No. Shopify offers a trial, after which a paid plan is required to keep the store open — ₹1,994 a month on Basic at India list price. The store software, hosting, SSL and updates are included in that; the payment gateway and its fees are not.
Is Shopify Payments available in India?
No. India is not on Shopify's published list of supported countries for Shopify Payments, so Indian merchants must use a third-party provider such as Razorpay, PayU or Cashfree.
What extra transaction fee do Indian Shopify sellers pay?
Shopify charges a third-party transaction fee whenever an order is processed through a gateway other than Shopify Payments, and the rate depends on your plan — so in India it applies to every order. That is on top of your gateway's own charge, which for a standard Razorpay account is about 2% on domestic cards, plus 18% GST on that fee. Shopify or WooCommerce — which is cheaper for an Indian store?
Shopify is cheaper to run below roughly ₹13 lakh a year in online sales; above that, WooCommerce usually wins, because Shopify charges a subscription plus a percentage that grows with your revenue while WooCommerce maintenance stays roughly flat. Under about ₹2 lakh a year, do not build a store yet — a WhatsApp catalogue and a payment link cost nothing.
Can I use Razorpay on Shopify?
Yes. Razorpay, PayU and Cashfree all have Shopify integrations for Indian stores and support UPI, cards and netbanking. We connect whichever one you have KYC approval on.
Can you migrate my existing products?
Yes, by CSV import. Up to 30 products are included in the ₹14,999; larger catalogues are quoted separately so the price stays fixed rather than open-ended.
Do I own the store afterwards?
Yes. The store lives on your own Shopify account and your own domain, we work as staff on it, and that access can be removed the day we hand over.
