The short answer
ZoopCoder ports one existing Chrome extension to Firefox and Safari for a fixed ₹9,999, fixing manifest and API differences, submitting the Firefox version to addons.mozilla.org, and delivering a signed-ready Xcode project for Safari, in 7-10 working days. Chrome, Firefox and Safari share most of the WebExtensions API, so a working Chrome extension rarely needs a rewrite — it needs its manifest keys, storage and messaging calls reconciled with each browser's quirks, and Safari specifically needs Apple's converter tool run inside Xcode before it can even open, which is the step that stops most people cold.
What you get
- Compatibility audit of your existing Chrome extension source against Firefox and Safari's WebExtensions support
- Manifest and API differences fixed (storage, messaging, background scripts, permissions) for both targets
- Firefox build tested in Firefox and submitted to addons.mozilla.org under your developer account
- Safari build converted via Apple's Safari Web Extension Converter inside Xcode, signed-ready for your Apple Developer account
- Functional test pass on both browsers against your extension's existing features
- Short handover note on any behaviour that genuinely differs between browsers

What we need from you
- Your existing Chrome extension's source code (not a built/obfuscated-only package — we need to read and edit it)
- A Firefox Add-ons (addons.mozilla.org) developer account, or an invite to yours
- A Mac and Apple Developer Program access if you want the Safari build signed and submitted, not just delivered as a project
Not included
- Firefox and Apple's own review and approval decisions on each store, which are theirs alone and not guaranteed by anyone
- Apple Developer Program fee (US$99/year, paid directly to Apple) and Firefox Add-ons account (free)
- Safari App Store / Mac App Store submission itself — available separately as App Store iOS Publishing (₹4,999) once you have a Mac and Apple Developer account
- New features, a redesign, or a Manifest V2 to V3 rewrite beyond what porting requires — quoted separately
- More than 3 popup screens or 1 external API — quoted per additional batch, matching Chrome Extension Development's scope
About this service
Most Chrome extensions do not need a rewrite to run on Firefox or Safari — all three browsers implement most of the same WebExtensions API — but each has real differences that break a naive copy-paste: manifest key names, how background scripts persist, storage quotas, and permission prompts. Safari is the harder of the two: it will not even open a Chrome extension's manifest directly, it needs Apple's own Safari Web Extension Converter run inside Xcode first, which turns it into a macOS/iOS app project that then has to be signed with an Apple Developer account like any other Apple app. We do that conversion and the compatibility fixes, hand you a Firefox version already filed for review, and a Safari project that is ready to sign and submit the moment you have Xcode access. If your extension already works cleanly across browsers, or is a very simple one, say so and we will tell you honestly if this is worth paying for.
Questions before you buy
Does my extension need to be rewritten from scratch?
Almost never. Chrome, Firefox and Safari share most of the WebExtensions API — this fixes the real differences (manifest keys, storage, background scripts) rather than starting over.
Why does Safari need Xcode?
Safari does not run a Chrome extension's manifest directly — Apple's own Safari Web Extension Converter has to turn it into an Xcode project first, which then needs signing like any other Apple app.
Do you publish the Safari version to the App Store?
Not in this service — we deliver a signed-ready Xcode project. App Store submission is available separately once you have Xcode and an Apple Developer account.
What if my extension only uses very basic APIs?
Then this is often a light job and we will say so honestly rather than overselling it — the fixed price still applies, but expect it to be quick.
Is approval on Firefox or Safari guaranteed?
No — each store reviews independently and the decision is theirs. We submit a complete, working build to give it the best chance.
