The short answer

ZoopCoder installs a cookie consent banner and wires Google Consent Mode v2 into your Google Tag Manager container for a fixed ₹1,799, live in 2-3 working days. Since 6 March 2024 Google has required the four Consent Mode v2 signals — ad_storage, analytics_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization — before it will use EEA and UK visitor data for remarketing audiences, enhanced conversions and conversion modelling, so a banner that simply blocks tags without sending those signals costs you data instead of protecting it. The banner wording and your cookie policy text stay yours: we build and prove the mechanism, we do not give legal advice.

What you get

  • Consent banner installed site-wide using CookieYes, Cookiebot or a GTM-native CMP — your choice
  • Cookie scan of the site, with every cookie grouped into necessary, analytics, marketing and preferences
  • Google Consent Mode v2 wired in advanced mode: denied by default, updated the moment a visitor chooses
  • All four v2 signals set correctly — ad_storage, analytics_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization
  • GA4, Google Ads and Meta Pixel tags moved behind consent triggers inside Google Tag Manager
  • Region rules configured, so the banner appears where you need it and does not obstruct traffic where you do not
  • Accept, Reject and Preferences all functional, plus a re-open link so a visitor can change their mind later
  • Proved in Google Tag Assistant and the browser console — tags denied before consent, granted after, with screenshots
  • Consent state surfaced in GA4 so you can see the observed versus modelled split for yourself

About this service

A consent banner is two separate things, and most websites only ship the first. The visible part — a bar at the bottom of the page — is easy. The part that decides whether your data survives is what happens to your tags while consent is still undecided. Consent Mode v2 is Google's answer to that: instead of firing or not firing, your tags always load but start in a denied state and send cookieless pings, then flip to granted the instant a visitor accepts. Google uses those pings to model the conversions it can no longer observe. Getting it wrong costs you in both directions — a banner that hard-blocks the GA4 tag leaves a hole in your reporting with nothing to model from, and a banner that sets no signals at all means Google will not use EEA or UK visitor data for remarketing or enhanced conversions. Buy this if you run Google Ads or GA4 and you get EU or UK traffic, or if your Indian business is getting ahead of the DPDP rules. Do not buy it expecting a compliance certificate. We install the mechanism, categorise your cookies and prove the tags respect the choice; whether your business is compliant depends on what data you actually collect and what your policy says, and that is a question for a lawyer, not for us.

Questions before you buy

Does this make my website GDPR or DPDP compliant?

No, and anyone selling you that is overselling. A banner is one part of compliance. We install a working consent mechanism, categorise your cookies and prove your tags respect the visitor's choice. Whether your business is compliant depends on what data you collect, why you collect it, and what your privacy policy says — that is a legal question for your lawyer.

What is Consent Mode v2 and why does it matter?

It is the set of four signals Google requires — ad_storage, analytics_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization — telling Google whether it may use a visitor's data. Since 6 March 2024, without them Google will not use EEA and UK visitor data for remarketing audiences or enhanced conversions, and conversion modelling stops for that traffic.

Do I have to pay for Cookiebot or CookieYes?

Not necessarily. Both have free tiers that cover a small site, metered by monthly page views or scanned pages. We will set up the free tier if your traffic fits inside it, and tell you plainly when it does not rather than let you discover it on an invoice.

Will the banner hurt my analytics numbers?

Your observed numbers will fall by roughly the share of visitors who decline, which is real and unavoidable. Advanced Consent Mode is what limits the damage: Google models the gap from the cookieless pings, so GA4 and Google Ads report a modelled figure rather than nothing at all.

I only get Indian traffic. Do I need this?

Not for GDPR. India's DPDP Act has its own consent and notice expectations, and if you run Google Ads at all you benefit from correct Consent Mode signals. If you have no EU or UK visitors and run no ads, this is genuinely optional and we will tell you so instead of selling it to you.

Can you put the banner on a Shopify or Wix site?

Yes on Shopify — it has a customer privacy API that Consent Mode hooks into properly. Wix and Squarespace ship their own banners with limited control, so we configure what their platform actually allows and tell you the limits before you pay.
