About this service
A Facebook Page and its Instagram account are two of the easiest business assets to strand mid-handoff: an agency's Business Portfolio built the Page, ran the ads, connected the catalog and verified the WhatsApp number, and none of that automatically moves when the client wants to take over their own account — or a founder who set everything up personally wants to move it into the company's own Portfolio before bringing on an in-house team. Is this the same as recovering a hacked account?
No — this moves a live, working account between owners. A hacked, disabled or restricted account needs Meta's recovery or appeal process instead; see our separate recovery services for that.
Do both sides need a Meta Business Portfolio?
It is simpler if they do, since Meta transfers assets between Portfolios directly. If the Page is still personally owned, we handle it through Page role changes instead — tell us which situation applies when you order.
What happens to the ad account and catalog during the move?
They do not move automatically with the Page, which is the most common thing that breaks in a DIY transfer. We check what is connected beforehand and re-link each one on the new side.
Can you transfer just the Instagram account without the Page?
An Instagram account linked to a Facebook Page is usually transferred together with it, since that link is how ads and the shop catalog work; tell us if yours is unlinked and we will scope it separately.
Do you need our login password?
No — Meta's Business Portfolio and Page role system does the transfer through admin access grants, not shared passwords.
