The short answer
ZoopCoder fixes one reproducible bug in an existing Chrome extension for a fixed ₹1,499 per issue, with the code diff and a load-ready zip back in your hands in 2-3 working days. The price covers reproducing the fault in Chrome, tracing the cause in your source and making the smallest change that fixes it — not a rewrite. Chrome stopped accepting new Manifest V2 extensions, so a common cause of a sudden break is a V2 API — like background pages instead of a service worker — that Chrome has started warning about or disabling; we check for that first.
What you get
- The extension loaded unpacked in Chrome from your source, so it runs before anything is changed
- The issue reproduced in Chrome, or a written explanation of why it cannot be reproduced
- Root cause traced from the console, the service worker log, or Chrome's extension error page
- The fix written in your own source code as the smallest change that solves it
- The exact code diff, so your own developer can read and keep what changed
- A reviewable zip you can load unpacked or upload to the Chrome Web Store yourself
- Retest in current Chrome, plus the latest Edge if the extension targets it
- Up to 2 rounds of revisions if the same issue is still not fixed

What we need from you
- The extension source code, or a repository invite
- Steps to reproduce, or a screen recording of the bug
- Any API keys or backend access the extension needs in order to run
Not included
- New features and screen redesigns — quoted separately
- An extension with no source code; we do not work from a decompiled .crx
- A full Manifest V2 to V3 migration, which is a separate service (₹4,999)
- Publishing the fixed build to the Chrome Web Store — Chrome Web Store Publishing is ₹1,999
- Firefox or Safari ports of the same fix — quoted separately, see our Firefox & Safari port service
- Backend or third-party API faults that merely surface in the extension — quoted after diagnosis
About this service
This is the same deal as our app bug-fix services, sized for a browser extension: one bug, one price, your code back. Extensions break in a few recurring ways — a site changes its page structure and the content script stops finding what it expects, a Chrome update tightens a permission or deprecates an API, or a change silently stops working after Chrome's own update. We load your extension unpacked, reproduce the fault, trace it and make the smallest fix that resolves it, then hand back a diff so your own developer can see exactly what changed. We ask you to describe the bug before you pay, because sometimes what looks like an extension bug is really a site update or an expired API key on the other end, and neither is fixed by editing the extension — if that is what yours is, we say so rather than take the order.
Questions before you buy
What counts as one issue?
One reproducible fault with one cause — a button that does nothing, a content script that stopped injecting, a popup that will not open, a permission error in the console. If two symptoms share a single root cause, that is still one issue.
What if you cannot reproduce it?
We tell you what we tried and what we need from you — usually a screen recording, the exact page it fails on, or a test account. If it genuinely cannot be reproduced or traced, we refund rather than bill for guesswork.
Do you need my source code?
Yes, always. We fix the bug in your project and hand back the diff so you keep the change. We do not work from a decompiled .crx file.
My extension still uses Manifest V2 — is upgrading it a bug fix?
Not on its own. If a V2-specific API is the actual cause of your bug we fix that as part of the ₹1,499. A full V2-to-V3 rebuild for a extension that still mostly works is our separate Manifest V3 migration service.
Will you publish the fixed version to the Chrome Web Store for me?
Not in this price — that is a separate ₹1,999 service, since it needs your developer account and a store listing update rather than code time.
Can you fix an extension you did not build?
Yes, once the source loads unpacked in Chrome. We check that on the first working day — if the project will not load we tell you immediately rather than a day later.
