About this service
Switching to Microsoft 365 is quick to buy but, like any provider move, arrives with empty mailboxes — there is no built-in "import everything" button from an arbitrary previous host. Mail has to be pulled from the old mailbox over IMAP and pushed into Exchange Online, folder by folder, before it is safe to point MX records at Microsoft. We test one mailbox first so folder structure and formatting are confirmed correct, migrate the rest, and only switch DNS once you have checked mail is arriving on Microsoft 365 — so the old mailbox stays as a safety net until you are ready to let it go.
Questions before you buy
Do I need to already have Microsoft 365 set up?
Yes — this service migrates mail into an existing Microsoft 365 subscription with mailboxes created. If you need Microsoft 365 itself set up first, ask us and we will scope that separately.
What if my current host does not allow IMAP access?
Some cheap hosting-bundled email accounts restrict IMAP. We check this in the first step before charging further work, and flag it immediately if migration is not possible.
Can you migrate from Google Workspace or Zoho Mail specifically?
Yes — both support IMAP, so migrating from either into Microsoft 365 works the same way as migrating from any IMAP-accessible provider.
Will I lose any old emails?
We copy every folder we can see over IMAP and verify a sample before the full run, but very old or corrupted mailboxes on some hosts can have gaps outside our control. We flag any mailbox likely to have an issue before migrating it.
Can you also move Calendar, OneDrive or Contacts?
This service is mail only. Calendar, file storage and contacts migration use different tools and are quoted separately once we know what you need moved.
What if I have more than 10 mailboxes?
Quoted per additional 10 mailboxes at the same fixed-scope pricing.
