The short answer

ZoopCoder adds Google Maps to one existing website or web app for a fixed ₹1,399, delivered in 1-3 working days: an interactive map with up to 10 markers, plus either Places address autocomplete or a Directions link. Google gives its Dynamic Maps product 10,000 free map loads a month and charges per 1,000 loads after that, and a Google Cloud billing account is needed before a key works in production — so the key must be restricted to your domain and given a budget alert, or a copied key can run up charges on your account.

What you get

  • A Google Cloud project and Maps API key created in your account, with only the APIs your map needs switched on
  • The key restricted to your website domain, so it does not work if someone copies it from your page source
  • A budget alert on the Google Cloud billing account, so you are told before spending passes a limit you choose
  • An interactive map on one page with up to 10 markers, each with an info window (name, address, phone or link)
  • One extra feature of your choice: address autocomplete on a form field, or a Get Directions button that opens the route
  • The map made responsive on mobile and loaded without slowing the rest of the page
  • A short note on where the key lives, which APIs are on and how to read the usage report

About this service

A Google Maps embed is the easy part. What goes wrong is everything around it: a key created without restrictions that anyone can copy from your page source, a billing account nobody set a limit on, or the wrong Google API switched on so the map loads blank with an error in the browser console. The key and the billing are what we spend the most care on. Google gives each Maps product a monthly free allowance, and a small business site usually stays inside it, but only if the key is locked to your domain and an alert is set. We build the map you asked for, lock it down, and write down where everything lives so you or your next developer can find it.

Questions before you buy

Is Google Maps free to use on my website?

Google lets you use each Maps product free up to a monthly allowance; Dynamic Maps includes 10,000 free map loads a month, after which Google charges per 1,000 loads. A billing account is still required for a production key. Most small business sites stay inside the free allowance, and we add a budget alert so you are warned if that changes.

Why does my map show an error or a grey box?

The usual causes are an API key that is missing, restricted to the wrong domain, or without the right API switched on, or a Google Cloud project with no active billing account. We check the browser console to find which one and fix it as part of the integration.

Can you just embed a map with no API key?

Yes, a plain embedded map from Google Maps needs no coding and no key. This service is for when you need markers, address autocomplete, directions or a map that matches your page design.

Will it work on WordPress and Shopify?

Yes. On WordPress we add it to a page or a small custom block; on Shopify we add it to a theme section, and a plain HTML, React or Next.js site gets a small script or component.

I need a store locator with search by pincode. Is that this?

No. This service covers up to 10 markers on one map. A searchable store locator with many locations is a bigger build, so message us on WhatsApp and we will quote it.

Who owns the Google Cloud account?

You do. The project, key and billing account are created under your Google account, so you can see the usage and nobody else holds your key.
