The short answer

ZoopCoder sets up a business directory or listing website on WordPress with GeoDirectory or Directorist for a fixed ₹5,299, ready in 3-5 working days. The price covers the directory plugin and a matching theme installed, your category structure, a custom field set for your listing type, Google Maps with search filters, a front-end listing submission form, up to 25 listings loaded from your spreadsheet, and the directory pages (home, search, add listing, account) tested with a test submission. Paid listing plans, claim-listing and multi-city features come from paid add-ons that you buy, and we tell you which ones before you pay.

About this service

A directory website lists businesses, doctors, vendors or places in one searchable place, with a map and filters, and lets owners submit their own listing. GeoDirectory and Directorist are the two plugins most often used for this on WordPress. According to its WordPress.org page, GeoDirectory lets users submit listings from the front end, offers a drag-and-drop form builder with over 40 field types, loads listings through CSV, and includes Google Maps and proximity filters in the free plugin. The same page lists the Pricing Manager (paid listing prices), Claim Listing Manager and Location Manager (more than one city) as separate add-ons. We keep this fixed fee to one listing type and 25 loaded listings, and prove it with a real test submission. If you plan to charge for listings, say so before you pay and we tell you which add-ons that needs. If you want a marketplace where sellers sell products, see WooCommerce Multi-Vendor Marketplace Setup.

Questions before you buy

GeoDirectory or Directorist, which one?

Both do the job and both have free and paid parts. Tell us the type of directory and whether you plan to charge for listings, and we recommend one before you pay. The choice is yours.

Can I charge businesses for a listing?

Yes, but it needs paid add-ons. In GeoDirectory the Pricing Manager add-on sets listing prices. We set it up if you buy the licence, and we say before you pay what your plan needs.

Do I need a Google Maps key?

Yes. The map needs an API key from Google in your own name, and Google bills the usage. We show you how to create it, or we set it up while you are on a call.

Can you collect the listings for me?

No. You send the data as a spreadsheet and we load up to 25 listings. Collecting or researching listings is not part of this fixed fee.

Will the directory rank on Google?

We set up clean titles and URLs for the pages. We do not promise any ranking, because that depends on your content and competition.

Is this for a brand new website?

It works on a WordPress site you already have. If you need a whole website built first, see Business Website or WordPress Website.
