The short answer

ZoopCoder installs and configures Coolify, the open-source self-hosted platform for deploying apps and databases, on your own VPS for a fixed ₹4,399, ready in 1-2 working days. The price covers the Coolify install on one server in your name, the dashboard on your own domain with SSL, the admin account and firewall locked down, your Git provider connected, up to 2 of your apps deployed with automatic deploys on every push, 1 database created with a scheduled backup to storage you choose, and 14 days of fixes. One honest point: Coolify’s own installation guide asks for at least 2 CPU cores, 2 GB of RAM and 10 GB of free disk on a fresh Linux server, so a very small server will struggle, and we tell you which size to buy before you pay. The server and domain are billed separately.

What you get

  • Coolify installed with the official install script on one fresh Linux server in your name, with Docker handled by the installer, and the version noted in your handover
  • The dashboard moved onto your own domain or subdomain with free SSL, so it is no longer open on a bare IP and port
  • The first admin account created straight away with a strong password, and the server’s .env file saved to a place you choose, because Coolify needs it to restore
  • A firewall that opens only the ports Coolify and your apps need, SSH key login set up and password login for SSH switched off
  • Your GitHub, GitLab or other Git provider connected, and up to 2 of your apps deployed from their repositories, with automatic deploys on every push to the branch you name
  • Up to 2 domains pointed at your apps with SSL, and the environment variables you give us stored in Coolify
  • One database (PostgreSQL, MySQL or MariaDB, or Redis) created and connected to an app, with a scheduled backup to an S3-style bucket or another location you choose and one test restore
  • A short written guide to deploying a new app, updating Coolify, restoring a backup and rolling back a bad deploy, and 14 days of fixes for anything we configured

What we need from you

  • A fresh Linux VPS in your name with root or sudo SSH access — Ubuntu or Debian is easiest, and we advise on the size before you buy
  • A domain or subdomain whose DNS you can edit, for the dashboard and your apps
  • Access to the Git repositories of the apps to deploy, as a read access token or app install we guide you through
  • The environment variables for each app, and a place for backups such as an S3-style bucket

Not included

  • The server fee, domain fee and backup storage fee, billed by those providers to you
  • Fixing or rewriting your application code, or building a Dockerfile for an app that has never been containerised — an app that does not build is quoted separately
  • More than 2 apps, more than 1 database, several servers, Docker Swarm or a high-availability setup — quoted separately
  • Moving a live site from Heroku, Vercel or another host with zero downtime, data migration and DNS cut-over — quoted separately
  • Installing a different panel such as CapRover or Dokploy instead of Coolify
  • Ongoing server monitoring and updates after the 14 days of fixes — see our VPS server setup and monthly care services

About this service

Coolify is a free, open-source tool you install on your own server that does what Heroku, Vercel and Netlify do for a monthly fee: you connect a Git repository, it builds the app in a container, gives it a domain with SSL, and redeploys when you push. Databases, scheduled backups and environment variables are handled from the same dashboard. The appeal is cost and control, since you pay only for the VPS. The installation guide is plain about what it needs: a Linux server running as root or a sudo-capable user, at least 2 CPU cores, 2 GB of RAM and 10 GB of free disk, a fresh server to avoid clashes with other software, and a firewall that allows the ports it uses. After the install the dashboard first appears on the server’s IP at port 8000, and whoever opens it first creates the admin account, which is why we do that step ourselves immediately and then put the dashboard on your domain with SSL. The installation guide also tells you to back up the .env file under /data/coolify/source, because without it a restored server cannot read its saved secrets. If you only need one Dockerised app on a server, our Docker App Deployment service is simpler and cheaper, and for the server itself see VPS Server Setup.

Questions before you buy

Is Coolify free?

Yes, Coolify is open source and free to self-host. You pay for the VPS, the domain and any backup storage. There is also a paid hosted version from the Coolify team, which is not part of this service.

How big a server do I need?

The official minimum is 2 CPU cores, 2 GB of RAM and 10 GB of free disk, and more if you run several apps or databases. Tell us what you plan to run and we will suggest a size before you buy one.

Can it run my WordPress, Node, Python or Laravel app?

Coolify can deploy apps from a Dockerfile, a Docker Compose file or through its auto-detected builds. If your app builds cleanly we deploy it. If it needs code changes or a new Dockerfile to build, that is quoted separately after we look at it.

Can you install CapRover or Dokploy instead?

Not in this service, which covers Coolify only. If you prefer another panel, message us before paying and we will tell you honestly whether we can quote it separately.

Will you move my apps off Heroku or Vercel?

The service deploys up to 2 apps to your new server. A careful move of a live site with data migration and DNS cut-over is a bigger job and is quoted separately.

Who owns the server and the apps?

You do. The server and domain are in your name and we only use the access you give us. You can remove our access once the 14 days of fixes are over.
