The short answer

ZoopCoder fixes one Firebase Authentication, Firestore or Storage security-rules, or Cloud Functions problem in an existing project for a fixed ₹1,499 per issue, with the corrected rules or code and a written explanation back in 2-3 working days. Firebase’s own documentation says it plainly: rules are not filters. A query is rejected as a whole if it could return even one document the rules do not allow, so a “permission denied” often means the query is shaped wrongly for the rules rather than the rules being wrong, and loosening them to make the error disappear leaves your data open. Working out which side is at fault and fixing it without widening access is the work.

What you get

  • The failing request reproduced as the same kind of user your app uses (signed out, signed in, different roles) in the Firebase Emulator or against a copy of your rules
  • Diagnosis of the layer at fault: security rules, a query that does not match the rules, an Authentication provider or authorised-domain setting, a missing index, or a Cloud Function error
  • The fix delivered as corrected rules and, where needed, a small change to the app query or function code
  • For login problems: sign-in provider settings, authorised domains, SHA keys for Android and redirect settings checked against what your app actually sends
  • Retest as a signed-out user, a normal user and a second user, to confirm one user cannot read another’s documents
  • A check that no admin credential or service-account key is exposed in client code for the affected feature
  • A plain-language note of what was wrong and what the fix allows and blocks

About this service

Firebase problems are hard to debug from the app side because the console and the code each look fine on their own. A rule that worked for weeks starts rejecting everything, a Google login works in development and fails on the live domain, or a Cloud Function deploys and then never fires. One well-known cause is the default “test mode” rules that Firebase offers when you create a database: they expire after 30 days, after which every read and write is denied until the rules are replaced. We reproduce the failing call as the actual kind of user, work out whether the fault is in the rules, the query, the Authentication settings or the function, and fix only that, without the shortcut that makes the error vanish by opening the database to everyone. It pairs with our Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics Setup if you also need tracking in the same project. We ask you to describe the error before you pay, since some of it turns out to be an app-side bug or an expired session rather than a Firebase fault. Anything wider than the one issue you reported, such as a review of every collection, we quote separately so the fixed price stays honest.

Questions before you buy

What counts as one issue?

One reproducible fault with one cause: a collection that returns permission-denied for signed-in users, a write that fails for one role, a Google sign-in that bounces back to the wrong URL, a Storage upload that is refused, a Cloud Function that never triggers. If two symptoms share one cause, it is still one issue.

My app worked for a month and then everything got permission denied. Why?

Very often the project is still on the default test-mode rules, which expire after 30 days. We check that first, then replace them with narrow rules that fit how your app actually reads and writes data.

Will you just make the rules allow everything?

No. Open rules make the error vanish and leave your users’ data readable and writable by anyone with your project ID. We write the narrowest rules that do the job and test that one user cannot see another’s data.

My query is fine but Firestore still rejects it. Is that a rules bug?

Often it is not. Firestore rules are not filters: a query is rejected whole if it could match documents the rules forbid. The fix may be a small change to the query, such as adding the user filter that the rule expects, as well as or instead of the rule.

Do you need access to my production project?

We need access to the project the problem is in. You can invite us with a limited role, or send us the rules and code and run the tests we send back. We never need your user data exported.

What about Supabase or my own backend?

Not in this service. Firebase uses its own rules language and console. For Supabase see our Supabase Auth & RLS Fix, and for your own Node.js, Python or Laravel API see our Backend API Bug Fix.
