The short answer
ZoopCoder installs NocoDB or Baserow, whichever you choose, on your own Ubuntu server for a fixed ₹1,999, ready in 1-2 working days. The price covers the install with its database in Docker, your domain with SSL, the first admin account, one starter base with up to 3 tables set up from your list of columns, SMTP email for invites and password resets, up to 3 team accounts invited, and daily backups of the database and uploaded files with one tested restore. Both tools are open source with paid plans on top: NocoDB’s enterprise features need a purchased licence, and Baserow sells premium and enterprise plans, so we tell you before you start if something you need sits behind one. The server and domain are billed separately.
What you get
- NocoDB or Baserow (your choice of one) installed on your Ubuntu VPS with Docker Compose and its database, using the vendor’s current container setup
- Your domain or subdomain pointed to it with free SSL that renews itself, and HTTPS enforced
- The first admin account created straight away by us, so nobody else can claim it, plus firewall on and root login and password login for SSH switched off
- One starter base with up to 3 tables, columns and field types set up from the list you send, and up to 25 rows of your sample data imported from a CSV
- SMTP email connected for invites and password resets, with a test invite sent, and up to 3 team accounts invited
- Daily automatic backups of the database and uploaded files to a location you choose, and one test restore
- A short written guide to adding users and bases and updating the tool, and 14 days of fixes for anything we configured

- A domain or subdomain you can point to the server, for example data.yourbusiness.com
- SMTP login details for a mailbox to send from, for example [email protected]
- A list of the tables and columns you want in the starter base, and a CSV of sample rows if you have one
Not included

- Moving a whole existing Airtable or spreadsheet workspace, with linked records, views and formulas, into the new tool — quoted separately
- Automations, API integrations with other tools, custom scripts and extensions beyond the default setup

About this service
NocoDB and Baserow are open-source tools that turn a database into a spreadsheet-style interface with forms, grid and kanban views and an API, the same idea as Airtable but running on your own server. The attraction is that your records stay on a machine you control and there is no per-seat bill that grows with your team. NocoDB’s own Docker quick start runs several containers together, the app, a background worker, PostgreSQL and Redis, and the first person to sign up becomes the super admin, which is why we create the admin account ourselves before the address is public. We then put it behind your domain with SSL, connect email so invites arrive, build the first base from your column list, and prove a backup restores before handover. If you would rather stay on Airtable and automate it, see Airtable Automation Setup, and for dashboards on top of a database see Metabase Installation.
Questions before you buy
Is it free?
The open-source editions are free to run on your own server. You pay for the VPS, the domain and the mailbox. Both vendors also sell paid plans, and NocoDB’s enterprise features need a purchased licence, which is not part of this service.
Which one should I pick, NocoDB or Baserow?
Both give you a spreadsheet-style database with forms and an API. Tell us what your team will do with it and we will say which fits better before you pay.
Can you move my Airtable base in?
Not in this service. A real Airtable workspace has linked records, views and formulas that do not copy cleanly, so a migration is quoted separately. This service imports up to 25 sample rows from a CSV into the starter base.
Do I need my own server?
Yes. The server is bought in your name and we install on it. We tell you which size to buy before you pay for one.
Can you connect it to my other tools?
Not in this service. Automations and API connections to other tools depend on what you want to connect, so they are quoted separately.
Who owns the server and data?
You do. The server, domain and mailbox are in your name and we only use the access you give us. You can remove our access once the 14 days of fixes are over.
