The short answer
ZoopCoder builds a custom Slack bot for a fixed ₹3,299, covering up to 5 slash commands or interactive buttons, deployed on your hosting and handed over with the source code in 5-7 working days. Slack expects a slash command to be acknowledged within 3 seconds, so anything slower, such as a report or an AI answer, is built to reply immediately and post the result a moment later. The bot is created as a Slack app in your own workspace, so you keep the tokens and the ownership. Typical jobs are new-lead or order alerts, a leave or expense approval button, a /status lookup against your Google Sheet or API, and scheduled daily summaries.
What you get
- A Slack app created in your own workspace through api.slack.com, with only the permission scopes the bot actually needs
- Up to 5 slash commands, buttons, modals or scheduled messages, agreed with you in writing before we start
- Examples of what counts: a /lead command that saves to your Google Sheet, an Approve or Reject button on a request, an alert posted when your website or CRM sends a webhook, a daily summary posted at a set time, a lookup against your own API
- One small data store (SQLite or a hosted database) if the bot has to remember anything between restarts
- Deployment as an always-on service on your VPS or hosting, with automatic restart if it stops
- The full source code in a repository you own, with a short README on running and updating it
- 14 days of fixes after launch for anything in the agreed commands

What we need from you
- A plain-words list of what each command or button should do and who is allowed to use it
- A Slack workspace where you are an admin, or a workspace admin who can approve the app installation
- Hosting access, or approval to deploy on a small VPS
- Any API key or data source the bot must read from or write to, such as a Google Sheet, CRM or your website API
Not included
- Hosting or server fees after setup, and any third-party API fees (including AI-model usage if you want AI answers)
- Publishing the bot to the Slack Marketplace for other companies to install, which needs Slack’s own app review and is quoted separately
- A web dashboard or admin panel for the bot — that is a separate web build, quoted separately
- Microsoft Teams, Discord or WhatsApp versions of the same bot — see the related services below
- Reading or exporting your whole message history, which Slack restricts and which we do not do for archiving or surveillance
- More than 5 commands or interactions — quoted separately
About this service
A Slack bot is a small program that lives inside your workspace and does the repetitive jobs people otherwise do by hand: posting an alert when a new lead arrives, asking a manager to approve a request with one click, answering a /status question from your own data or sending the morning numbers to a channel. We build it as a Slack app in your workspace, so the bot token, the signing secret and the code are yours. Slack requires every slash command to be acknowledged within 3 seconds, so we design slow jobs to reply at once and follow up with the result, rather than letting users see a timeout error. We choose between Socket Mode, which needs no public web address and suits an internal workspace, and a normal HTTPS endpoint, depending on where the bot will run. We also keep scopes tight: a bot that only posts alerts should not be able to read every private channel. This is for a bot used inside your own company; if you want the same idea on another chat tool, see our Discord Bot Development or Telegram Bot Development, and for connecting two existing tools without a custom bot, workflow automation is usually cheaper.
Questions before you buy
Who owns the Slack app and the tokens?
You do. The app is created in your own workspace and you receive the tokens, the signing secret and the source code. We do not keep a copy of your tokens after handover.
Does Slack charge for custom bots?
Building and running your own Slack app is not charged separately by Slack. Your Slack plan decides what your workspace can do, and some plans limit how many apps and integrations you can install, so check yours. You also pay for the hosting the bot runs on and any outside API it calls.
Why does my slash command say it timed out?
Slack gives a command 3 seconds to be acknowledged. If the bot does slow work before replying, Slack shows an error. The fix is to acknowledge first and post the result afterwards, which is how we build every command.
Can it read old messages in our channels?
Only for what the bot needs, and only in channels it has been added to. Slack has tightened the rate limits on history reading for commercially distributed apps, and we do not build bots meant to mass-export or monitor employee conversations.
Can you add AI chat answers?
A command that sends a question to an AI model using your own API key is possible and counts as one of the five. The AI usage charges are paid by you to the provider.
My Slack bot already exists and is broken. Is this the service?
No, this is for building a new bot. For one that has stopped working, tell us what it does and we will quote the fix.
