The short answer
ZoopCoder installs the Typebot chatbot builder on your own Ubuntu server for a fixed ₹3,799, ready in 2-3 working days. The Typebot Docker guide (checked October 2026) shows why it is more than one install: Typebot is two separate apps, a builder and a viewer, each needing its own hostname such as typebot.yourbusiness.com and bot.yourbusiness.com, plus a Postgres database, a 32-character encryption secret that must be identical for both, and an HTTPS reverse proxy because the apps themselves only speak plain HTTP. The price covers all of that, a working email login, your admin account with public sign-up switched off, one starter bot of up to 10 steps built and embedded on one page of your website, and daily database backups with one tested restore. Self-hosted Typebot has all features and no per-chat limit, under the Functional Source License; the server, domains and any email or storage service are billed separately.

What we need from you
- An Ubuntu VPS with root access bought in your name — we tell you which plan to buy before you pay for one
- A domain or two subdomains you can point to the server, one for the builder and one for the bots
- A mailbox or SMTP login so sign-in emails can be sent
- A short brief of what the starter bot should ask and do, and admin access to the website page where it should appear
Not included
- The VPS fee, domain fee, email-service fee and backup storage fee, billed by those providers to you
- More bots or longer flows beyond the one starter bot, and connections to other tools such as a CRM, Google Sheets or n8n — quoted separately
- A WhatsApp-connected bot, which needs a Meta Cloud API account and its own set-up — see WhatsApp Chatbot
- File-upload blocks that need S3-compatible storage, unless you supply a storage bucket and its keys
- Selling access to your Typebot to other businesses, or hosting it for them: the Functional Source License does not allow it, so this service is for your own use only
- Help with problems inside Typebot’s own code: Typebot’s makers do not support self-hosting issues, so we fix what we configured and cannot change Typebot itself
About this service
Typebot is a visual builder for chatbots and conversational forms, the kind of flow that asks a visitor a few questions, collects an email or phone number, and passes it on. The hosted version charges by plan and chat volume, while the self-hosted build includes every feature with no per-chat limit, so a business with steady chat volume or data-location needs often runs its own. Running it well takes more than one container. The builder and the viewer are two apps on two hostnames, both need the same encryption secret, the database must be backed up, and HTTPS has to be added in front because the apps themselves serve plain HTTP. Typebot is also licensed under the Functional Source License rather than a fully open licence: you can run it for your own business and build bots for clients, but you cannot sell access to your instance or offer Typebot hosting as a service. We set it up inside those limits and give you a first working bot on your website. Questions before you buy
Is Typebot free to self-host?
Yes. There is no fee to Typebot for self-hosting, and the self-hosted build has all features. You pay for your own VPS, domains, email service and backup storage.
Why two domains?
Typebot runs as two apps: the builder where you design bots, and the viewer that shows published bots to your visitors. Each needs its own hostname. We set both up with SSL.
Can I use it for my clients?
You can build bots for clients and publish them in their products. You cannot sell access to your Typebot instance or offer Typebot hosting as a service, because the Functional Source License does not allow it.
Will you support Typebot after handover?
You get 14 days of fixes for what we configured. Typebot’s makers do not support self-hosting issues, so problems inside Typebot’s own code go to its community; we can tell you which is which.
Can the bot send leads to Google Sheets or my CRM?
This service includes one starter bot and no outside connections. Connecting it to Sheets, a CRM or n8n is quoted separately.
Who owns the server and data?
You do. The server and domains are bought in your name and we only use the access you give us. You can remove our access once the 14 days of fixes are over.
