The short answer

ZoopCoder sets up a paid membership system on your existing WordPress site for a fixed ₹4,499, ready in 2-4 working days. The price covers one membership plugin of your choice (Paid Memberships Pro or MemberPress), up to 3 membership levels, members-only access on up to 10 pages or posts, the signup, login and account pages, one payment gateway in test mode and then live, edited welcome and expiry emails, and a test signup taken through payment to unlocked content. Paid plugin licences and gateway fees are bought by you, and Paid Memberships Pro has not been on WordPress.org since 17 October 2024, so its free core plugin is downloaded from paidmembershipspro.com instead.

What you get

  • One membership plugin installed and configured on your existing WordPress site: Paid Memberships Pro or MemberPress, whichever you choose
  • Up to 3 membership levels with the price, billing period (one-time, monthly or yearly) and expiry you give us
  • Members-only access set on up to 10 pages or posts, with a clear message and signup link for visitors who are not members
  • The signup or checkout, login, lost-password and member account pages created and linked in your menu
  • One payment gateway that the plugin supports directly, set up in test mode and then live
  • The welcome, payment-received and expiry emails edited to your wording, and the from-address set
  • A test signup from the pricing page through payment to the locked content opening, so you see it work
  • A short written guide on adding members by hand, changing a level and issuing a refund, and 14 days of fixes for anything we configured

What we need from you

  • WordPress admin access to a site that is already live (or on staging), and the page content you want locked
  • Your levels, prices and billing periods, and the payment gateway account you want to use
  • The licence for the plugin if you choose a paid one, bought in your own name

Not included

  • Plugin licences and payment gateway fees, billed to you by those companies
  • Writing or recording the members-only content, and designing the site — see WordPress Website
  • Courses, quizzes or certificates (a learning-management setup), and community forums
  • A gateway the chosen plugin does not support directly. Tell us the gateway first and we say before you pay whether it works
  • Importing existing members from another system, and tax or GST advice
  • Ongoing support after the 14 days

About this service

A membership site lets people pay once or monthly to see content that stays hidden from everyone else: a paid newsletter archive, a coaching library, a members-only price list or a premium community area. The plugin does the locking, but the setup is where it goes wrong: a page left open by mistake, a level that never expires, a checkout that takes money and does not unlock anything, or emails that look like spam. We configure the levels and rules, build the account pages and put a real test signup through before you announce it. One thing worth knowing before you choose: Paid Memberships Pro asked WordPress.org to close its listing on 17 October 2024, so the free core plugin is now downloaded from paidmembershipspro.com, and its free plan comes without a licence key or technical support. If you want the site designed as well, see WordPress Website, and for taking recurring payments through WooCommerce instead, see WooCommerce Subscriptions Setup.

Questions before you buy

Which plugin should I choose?

Paid Memberships Pro is a good fit if you want a free core plugin, and MemberPress if you prefer one paid plugin with support from its makers. Tell us your levels and we recommend one before you pay. The choice is yours.

Is the plugin licence included?

No. If you choose a paid plugin or add-on, you buy the licence in your own name. Paid Memberships Pro’s core plugin is free to download from its own site.

Can I take payments with Razorpay?

Only if the plugin you choose supports it directly. The Paid Memberships Pro add-on list we checked shows PayPal, Payfast, Paystack, Square and CCBill as free gateways and no Razorpay gateway. Tell us the gateway you need and we tell you before you pay whether it fits.

Can you build a course platform?

Not in this fixed fee. Courses, lessons and quizzes are a different build and are quoted separately.

Will you write the members-only content?

No. You provide the content and tell us which pages to lock.

What if I already have members elsewhere?

Importing members from another system is quoted separately because it depends on how the old data is stored.
