The short answer

ZoopCoder moves one Blogger or WordPress.com blog (up to 200 posts and 20 pages) to your own self-hosted WordPress for a fixed ₹1,999 in 2-4 working days, with posts, images, labels or categories, comments and old-URL redirects carried across. The part that usually goes wrong is the links: Blogger cuts post addresses to 39 characters while WordPress does not, so some slugs come out different and every one of those old links would 404 unless it is matched or redirected. We set the permalink structure to mirror your Blogger addresses, compare the old and new URL lists, and redirect every mismatch.

What you get

  • Export of your blog from Blogger (Export Blog XML) or WordPress.com (Tools → Export file) and import into your WordPress
  • Posts, scheduled and draft posts, categories or Blogger labels, and approved comments imported; author names mapped to a WordPress user
  • Images copied into your own WordPress media library and checked for broken or missing pictures
  • Up to 20 static pages rebuilt by hand, because Blogger’s importer does not bring pages across
  • Permalink structure set to match your Blogger addresses (for example /2024/05/post-name.html), then every old post and page URL checked against the new one
  • A 301 redirect for each URL that still differs, plus the Blogger feed address pointed at your new WordPress feed
  • A clean theme and the essential plugins you ask for, set up so the migrated posts look right
  • Help on WhatsApp or email for 15 days after handover

What we need from you

  • Login to your Blogger or WordPress.com account (or the exported file if you prefer to export it yourself)
  • A WordPress installation on your own hosting with admin access, or hosting/cPanel access so we can install it
  • Domain registrar or DNS access if your blog runs on a custom domain
  • The theme or look you want, and a list of the pages that matter most

Not included

  • Hosting, domain renewal and premium theme or plugin licences — paid directly to the providers
  • Replicating your old Blogger template or widgets exactly — Blogger themes and gadgets cannot be exported, so the design is rebuilt in a WordPress theme
  • WordPress.com followers and email subscribers, which are not part of the content export — moving them is a separate step through Jetpack
  • More than 200 posts or 20 pages — quoted per additional 100 posts
  • Redesign, new features, SEO rewriting or content editing
  • A guarantee of search rankings or traffic after the move — Google decides how quickly it follows the redirects

About this service

Blogger and WordPress.com are easy places to start, but many bloggers eventually want their own WordPress on their own hosting, with full control over themes, plugins and the domain. The content moves with a single XML file, and WordPress even has a Blogger importer plugin. What the file does not carry is your links. Blogger shortens post addresses to 39 characters and gives pages a /p/ path with a .html ending, WordPress has neither rule, and the importer brings in posts but leaves pages behind, so a quick DIY move often leaves hundreds of old links returning a 404 error and years of search traffic with them. A WordPress.com export is gentler, but it holds only references to your images, not the pictures themselves, and it leaves out your theme, plugins and subscribers. We handle those gaps: the import, the images, the pages, a permalink structure that mirrors the old addresses, a check of every old URL against the new one, and a redirect for each that differs. If your blog uses a blogspot.com address rather than a custom domain, Blogger gives no way to add server-side redirects, so we explain the limits before you pay. Need other platforms moved? See our Wix and Squarespace to WordPress service.

Questions before you buy

Will my Google rankings survive the move?

We cannot promise rankings, because Google decides how fast it follows redirects. What we control is keeping your URLs the same wherever possible and adding a 301 redirect for every address that changes, which is the best protection a move can have.

My blog is on a blogspot.com address, not my own domain. Is that covered?

Yes, the content move is covered. Blogger does not let a blogspot.com blog add server-side 301 redirects, so old links cannot be redirected the same way as on a custom domain. We tell you what is possible for your blog before you pay.

Do you copy my Blogger design?

No. Blogger templates and gadgets cannot be exported, so the design is rebuilt with a WordPress theme you choose. We can match colours, logo and layout closely, but it is a rebuild, not a copy.

What happens to my comments and images?

Approved comments are imported, and images are copied into your own WordPress media library so they no longer depend on Google’s servers. We check for missing pictures afterwards.

I use WordPress.com now. What about my subscribers?

The content export does not include followers or subscribers. WordPress.com points to a Jetpack tool for moving them, which you run from your account; we can walk you through it, but moving subscribers is not part of the fixed scope.

My blog has more than 200 posts. Can you still do it?

Yes, quoted per additional 100 posts. Tell us the size when you start, and we confirm the extra cost before any work begins.
