The short answer
ZoopCoder migrates an existing Joomla or Drupal content website to WordPress for a fixed ₹2,699, covering up to 50 articles and pages with their images, categories and tags, and 301 redirects from the old URLs, in 5-7 working days. Joomla 3 reached end of life on 17 August 2023 and Drupal 7 on 5 January 2025, so a site still running either gets no further security fixes from its project, which is the most common reason for moving. WordPress itself has no Joomla or Drupal importer, so the content is exported from the old database and imported with a purpose-built migration plugin, and the old addresses are redirected one by one so search engines follow the move.

About this service
Unlike Wix or Squarespace, Joomla and Drupal keep your content in a database you own, so the words and images can genuinely be moved rather than retyped. What cannot be moved is the design: templates, modules and extensions are built for their own system, and anything that depended on one has to be replaced by a WordPress theme or plugin. That is why the work is scoped around content and URLs. We take a backup, export the articles and media, import them into a staging WordPress site, and then spend the real effort on what a plain import leaves behind — images pointing at the old paths, template shortcodes in the body text, categories that no longer map cleanly. Then comes the part that protects your search traffic: a 301 redirect from every old address to its new one, because a site that changes platform usually also changes its URL structure, and without redirects Google treats the new pages as a different site. We build and check the staging copy before your live site is touched, and the old site is left running until you sign off. Questions before you buy
Why move from Joomla or Drupal to WordPress at all?
The common reasons are security and cost of upkeep: Joomla 3 and Drupal 7 no longer get security fixes from their projects, upgrading a heavily customised site to a newer version is often a rebuild anyway, and WordPress has far more themes, plugins and developers available at lower cost.
Will I lose my Google rankings?
Every migrated page is redirected from its old URL to its new one with a 301, which is the main protection. Some movement after any platform change is normal and no one can promise otherwise, but redirects keep the old pages’ signals pointing at the right place.
Will the new site look exactly like the old one?
Close in structure, not identical in design. We set up an existing WordPress theme with your logo, colours and menu. A pixel-matched custom theme is a design job, quoted separately.
My site has more than 50 pages. What then?
Tell us the approximate number before paying. Extra content is quoted per additional batch of 25 articles or pages, so the fixed price stays honest for the scope.
What about my online shop or member login?
Those are outside this service because products, orders and user accounts need their own migration plan. Send us the details and we will tell you what is possible and quote it separately.
Is my old site taken down?
No. The old site keeps running until you have approved the WordPress staging copy and we switch the domain. We keep the backup so you can go back if needed.
