About this service
A userscript is a small piece of JavaScript that a manager extension such as Tampermonkey runs for you whenever you open a chosen web page. It is the lightest way to change how a site works for you: pre-fill the same address every day, strip a cluttered dashboard down to the three columns you read, add a copy button to a table that has none, or press a repetitive sequence of buttons in a back-office tool. Because it runs in your own logged-in browser, it works with pages that have no API, and nothing has to be hosted. The catch is that it depends on the page layout, so when the website is redesigned a selector can stop matching, which is why we include 14 days of fixes and write the script against stable page elements where we can. Chrome changed how userscripts are allowed in version 138: each manager extension now has an Allow User Scripts switch on its extension details page, and a script will not run until it is on. We will not write scripts that dodge CAPTCHAs or site rules. Questions before you buy
What is the difference between a userscript and a Chrome extension?
A userscript is one file that a manager like Tampermonkey runs on pages you choose, for your own use. A Chrome extension is a packaged product with its own icon, popup and settings that can be listed on the Chrome Web Store. If you only need to change one site for yourself, a userscript is the cheaper tool.
Why is my Tampermonkey script not running on Chrome?
On Chrome 138 and later, Tampermonkey needs the Allow User Scripts switch turned on in its extension details page, or Developer Mode on older versions. We include the exact steps in the install guide.
Will it keep working if the website changes?
Not forever. A redesign can move the element the script looks for. We cover repairs for 14 days after delivery; after that a fix is quoted on its own, usually small.
Can you automate a site that has a login?
Yes, if you are the legitimate user and the script runs in your own logged-in browser. We never ask for your password; we work from a test account or a screen recording, and we do not build scripts that get around a site’s protections.
Can it run on my phone?
Userscript managers work in desktop browsers and in some mobile browsers such as Firefox for Android, but support varies by browser. Tell us which one you use and we will say honestly whether it will work.
Is this the same as scraping a whole website?
No. A userscript acts on pages you open yourself. Collecting thousands of rows from a site on a schedule is our web scraping service.
