The price covers a production install with your domain, SSL, outgoing email and daily backups, the India Compliance app for GST, an Indian chart of accounts, up to 3 modules from Accounting, Selling, Buying and Stock, and up to 5 users with roles. ERPNext is free open-source software, so the cost of a server is the only running cost, and you own the data and the server from day one. The server itself, any hosted ERPNext plan and the GST portal credentials are paid for separately.

- Your company details, GSTIN, GST rates in use, and a spreadsheet of items and parties to import

- E-invoice and e-waybill connection to the GST portal, which needs your own portal credentials and approvals — quoted separately

About this service
ERPNext is a complete business system, accounts, sales, purchases and stock in one, and the software itself is free. The work is in getting it installed properly and configured for how an Indian business actually runs, with GST, an Indian chart of accounts and the right tax templates. Installing it on a small server is where most do-it-yourself attempts stall: it needs enough memory, the right versions of its tools, a process manager and scheduled jobs that keep running after a reboot. We set it up the production way, on your server and in your name, add SSL and daily backups, and test a restore before any real data goes in, because a backup that has never been restored is a hope and not a backup. The India Compliance app then adds the GST fields and reports ERPNext needs for India. After that we set up one company on your own item and party sheet so that you can raise your first GST invoice on day one. Questions before you buy
Is ERPNext really free?
The software is free and open source. You pay for the server, the domain and backup storage. There are also hosted ERPNext plans from the maker, which this service does not cover; here we install it on a server you own.
What server do I need?
An Ubuntu 22.04 or 24.04 VPS with at least 4 GB of RAM and root access. Smaller servers often fail while ERPNext builds its files. We tell you which plan to buy before you pay for one.
Does it include GST e-invoicing?
GST fields and reports are set up. Connecting to the GST portal for e-invoices and e-waybills needs your own portal credentials and approval, so it is quoted separately.
Can you move my data from Tally?
Up to 100 items and 100 customers or suppliers from a sheet are included. Moving full transaction history from Tally or another system is a separate job, quoted separately.
Who owns the server and the data?
You do. The server and domain are bought in your name, and we only use the access you give us. You can remove our access once the 14 days of fixes are over.
Can you add custom reports or fields later?
Yes, but custom fields, reports, print formats and apps are not part of this fixed fee. We quote them separately once we know what you need.
