How much does a learning management system cost in India, and what does the demo prove?

A coaching institute or trainer needs to publish courses, run live classes and issue certificates. Watch the admin screens behind those tasks, then read the gaps before you commission a course platform.

Quick answer

Learning management system deployment at ZoopCoder starts at ₹1,00,000, with maintenance plans at ₹3,000 / ₹8,000 / ₹15,000+ per month. The English demo on this page shows 17 admin screens in 3 minutes 23 seconds, including Courses, Live Classes, Quizzes, Quizzes Certificates, Certificate Templates, Course Notes, Course Forum, Reviews and Consultants. That is evidence of a course-delivery back office. It is not evidence of the three things most Indian buyers actually decide on: no per-student progress report is opened, no payment or enrolment screen appears anywhere in the recording, and no protection against lecture downloading or screen recording is shown. A custom build takes 6–16 weeks. Source code ownership and 30 days of post-launch support are included, with 30/40/30 milestone payments. Video hosting, bandwidth and a live-class provider are recurring third-party costs on top of the deployment fee, not included in it. Before asking for a quote, count the students you can actually enrol in the next six months. Below roughly 20 paying learners, a ₹1,00,000 platform costs more than the revenue it organises, and an existing course marketplace is the cheaper way to start.

Opening frame of the demo: Learning Management System - 17-screen admin panel tour
Recorded LMS admin screens — published 31 August 2026. A student enrolling, paying and finishing a course is not demonstrated. Watch on YouTube ›

How this page was prepared: ZoopCoder sells deployment and development services. The screen inventory below comes from the recording plan for this published demo; the feature captions on the video are checked against it separately, further down. A screen title establishes which area was opened, not that every workflow in that area was tested. Demo records are not client results.

Start with one course and one student

Write down a single course you will sell and walk it end to end on paper. Who uploads the lectures, and how long are they? Does the student pay before the first lesson or after a free preview? Is there a live doubt-clearing class, and who runs it? What does the certificate say, and does anyone ever verify it? Those five answers scope a learning platform far more accurately than asking for something like a large national EdTech app.

The answers also decide whether you need this at all. If you teach one batch of fifteen students, a recorded video drive and a messaging group already does most of the work. A learning management system starts paying for itself when enrolments, payments, batches and certificates stop fitting in a spreadsheet, or when you need each student to see only what they paid for.

Price the course platform you actually plan to run

Tell us your subject, how many learners you expect in six months, whether classes are live or recorded, and how students will pay. Ask for the missing workflows on this page to be demonstrated inside the quote.

Which 17 screens does the LMS demo show?

The first column reproduces the recorded screen names. The final column is a buying test to request; it is not a claim that the recording demonstrates that behaviour. Two entries are recorded only as a bare list, and one is the product name plate rather than a feature — they are listed here anyway, because leaving them out would inflate the count.

What the demo does not show

The video caption lists a course and lesson builder, video lessons and quizzes, student progress tracking, online payments and enrolment, and certificates on completion. Measured against the recorded screens, two of those five claims have no supporting screen at all, and the other three show the administration area rather than a completed journey.

  • Student progress tracking: no supporting screen. There is no per-learner progress report in the recording. Marketing Dashboard and Trends are business analytics. Opening one student and seeing which lessons they completed, how long they watched and which quiz they failed is a different screen, and it is not in this video.
  • Online payments and enrolment: no supporting screen. No checkout, transaction list, invoice, coupon or enrolment record is opened. Sold Tickets is the only screen implying a sale, and the recording does not explain what a ticket is. Nothing here proves a student can pay you.
  • Course and lesson builder: the Courses screen appears. Creating a course, adding sections and lessons, uploading a video file and publishing it are not demonstrated as one continuous flow.
  • Video lessons and quizzes: Quizzes appears as an admin area. No student plays a video lesson, no quiz is attempted and no answer is marked on camera.
  • Certificates on completion: Certificate Templates and Quizzes Certificates both appear, which is real evidence of a certificate module. Automatic issue at the end of a course, and a certificate a third party can verify, are not shown.

Also unproven here, and important in the Indian market specifically: download blocking, dynamic watermarking, device limits or encrypted playback for recorded lectures; GST on a course invoice; UPI and EMI at checkout; regional-language content; a native mobile app; offline viewing on a low-bandwidth connection; and bulk import of an existing student list. If any of those decides your purchase, make it an acceptance condition in the written scope. A menu entry is not evidence of a working integration.

What does deployment cost in India?

These are ZoopCoder published prices, checked on 10 September 2026, rather than a survey of other vendors. The starting price is not a promise that every feature discussed on this page is included.

Four decisions that change the quote

  1. How do students pay, and what does the invoice say? UPI, cards, EMI, part payments, coupons, refunds and the GST treatment of an online course all change the checkout work. None of it appears in the recording, so specify each one. If you sell to learners outside India, currency and tax handling is a separate line again.
  2. How is the video hosted and protected? Hours of lecture video and the number of people watching them decide a recurring bill that the deployment fee does not cover. Decide up front whether you need watermarking, download blocking, device limits or encrypted playback, and name the video platform that will provide them.
  3. Are classes live, recorded, or both? Live classes need a provider licence, a tested concurrency limit and somewhere to store recordings. Recorded courses need upload tooling and a content pipeline. The costs and the failure modes are completely different.
  4. What data moves in on day one? Existing learners, past purchases, course files, batch structures and certificates already issued. Share the real formats and volumes. Importing a clean spreadsheet of names is not the same job as reconciling years of enrolments and payments.

When you should not buy this

  • You have fewer than about 20 paying learners. Deployment from ₹1,00,000 plus video hosting does not pay back on a handful of seats. List the course on an existing marketplace, prove people pay, then move the audience onto your own platform.
  • Selling courses from day one is the whole point. No payment, invoice or enrolment screen exists in this recording. Do not assume checkout is ready; require it to be demonstrated in gateway test mode before you commit.
  • Piracy protection is your deciding factor. If your lectures are the asset, and screen recording would destroy their value, nothing in this demo addresses that. Scope it explicitly or do not buy on the strength of this video.
  • You need per-student reporting for parents or a funder. The progress report is the single most-requested LMS screen and it is not in this recording. Ask to see it with real data before signing.
  • You actually need a school or college ERP. Admissions, fee receipts, timetables, attendance and report cards are a different system. This one delivers courses. Do not buy a course platform and expect institute administration.
  • You have no course content yet. Software does not record the lectures, write the quizzes or bring the students. If the content does not exist, build one course first with whatever tools you already have.
  • Your requirement is staff attendance and salaries, not teaching. Look at the HR and payroll demo instead; running your team is a separate requirement from teaching your students.

Five acceptance tests to put in the quote

  1. Create a course with three lessons, upload a real video file of the length you actually publish, and view it as a test student on a phone.
  2. Enrol that test student through a payment in gateway test mode, then check the invoice, the tax line, a coupon and a refund.
  3. Have the student fail a quiz, re-attempt it, pass it, and confirm the certificate carries the right name and a number someone else can verify.
  4. Schedule a live class, join it as a student over a mobile connection, and find the recording afterwards.
  5. Ask for a progress report on that one student and check it matches what actually happened during the four tests above.

These are proposed tests for the system you commission, not completed tests of this demo. Link each one to a milestone and record the result before signing it off.

Frequently asked questions

How much does LMS software cost in India?

ZoopCoder deployment starts at ₹1,00,000. Maintenance plans are ₹3,000, ₹8,000 and ₹15,000+ per month. A custom build takes 6–16 weeks. These are published starting figures, not a fixed quote for every course platform. Video hosting and bandwidth, a live-class provider and any payment-gateway charges are recurring third-party costs and belong on separate lines of the written quote.

Does the demo prove student progress tracking?

No. Student progress tracking is listed in the video caption, but no per-student progress report appears in the 17 recorded screens. Marketing Dashboard and Trends are analytics areas, which is not the same as opening one learner and seeing which lessons they finished. Ask for that exact report to be demonstrated with a test student before you buy.

Does the demo show online payments and enrolment?

No payment, transaction or enrolment screen appears in the recording. Sold Tickets is the only screen that implies money changed hands, and what a ticket represents is not explained on camera. Treat checkout, invoices, GST on the invoice, coupons, refunds and enrolment as scope that needs an end-to-end acceptance test in gateway test mode.

Are certificates issued automatically when a student finishes a course?

Certificate Templates and Quizzes Certificates are both recorded screens, so the system clearly has a certificate area. Automatic issue on course completion, a unique verifiable certificate number and the institute name and signature on the template are not demonstrated. Ask for one test student to be taken from a failed quiz to a passed quiz to a downloaded certificate.

What is the ROCKET LMS screen in the video?

It is a product name shown on screen during the recording. This demo is a tour of an existing learning-management product being administered, not of software written from scratch on camera. Before paying, ask in writing which underlying product is deployed, who holds the licence, what the licence costs each year and how the interface will be branded for your institute.

Can it stop students from downloading or screen-recording my lectures?

Nothing in the recording demonstrates download blocking, dynamic watermarking, device limits or encrypted video playback. For an Indian coaching institute selling recorded lectures this is usually the deciding requirement, so name the exact protection you need, name the video platform that will provide it, and make a real screen-recording attempt part of the acceptance test.

Do I own the source code, and what support is included?

ZoopCoder published pricing includes source code ownership, project files and documentation, plus 30 days of post-launch support. Payments follow 30/40/30 milestones. Ongoing maintenance and any third-party service you choose are separate lines in the written quote.
